Dr. Newton Demba FCILT,CIPP
Managing Consultant

Newton Demba is a seasoned strategy, leadership and business management consultant and an adjunct lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe with multi-sectoral experience and expertise gained in public health, telecommunications, mining, manufacturing and international development. Newton’s extensive and renowned valuable expertise spans in years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, enterprise risk management, corporate governance, strategy formulation, change management, leadership training for board members and corporates, project implementation and evaluation as well as facilitation in public and private sector team building, stakeholder consultations and workshops.

Newton is currently the Managing Consultant with Logistics and Research Training Institute (LRTI. Prior to this, Newton has had a footprint with Econet Wireless, Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company, Crown Agents, Deloitte, Citfoam, United Nation’s Children Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and United Nations Development Fund (UNDP).

Newton had an International Footprint as Vice President for Africa and Chairman of Africa forum (2019-2023) for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, a leading international professional body for supply chain, logistics and transport practitioners founded in 1919 and currently with a footprint worldwide, where he was responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to all African Countries. He is an advisor to Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) Capacity Building Centre-Hong Kong. (WCBC).

Newton is a Certified International Procurement Professional (CIPP), Certified Professional Director (Pro Dir), a Chartered Fellow Member(FCILT) with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport International, a certified lean Six Sigma Green Belt Practitioner, a member with International Association for Contracts and Commercial Management (IACC), Member of the International Academy of Business and Financial Management, Member with Association of Certified Procurement & Operations Professionals and an affiliate member with Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Africa.

Ethel Kambasha, MCIPS
Management Consultant


Ethel has accumulated over 16 years of experience and knowledge in procurement and supply chain with technical and commercial capacity to deliver value to any business concern. Her career started off in the Non-governmental Organisations (NGO) sector and transitioned to FMCG sector where she has built most of her career. Ethel has also over the years brunched out into the Telecommunications Industry and more recently, she has since moved into Borehole drilling and construction sector. Her main areas of expertise lie in Procurement and Resource Planning.

Ethel has developed and implemented sourcing strategies and led projects for respective portfolios including new product launches, distribution and supplier relationship management. She has also developed a strong financial management and analysis base acquired through management of an annual procurement budget from Euro$100 million upwards. She was able to deliver Total Cost of Ownership savings, operation Cash Flow and Working Capital plans for the materials and suppliers thus realising significant savings through streamlining planning and procurement processes and rationalisation of suppliers and products as some of her winning strategies.

Ethel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce majoring in Economics and Finance from Deakin University, Geelong-Australia and a Master’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain from Skema Business School, Lille -France. She also holds several certifications in Logistics, Value Engineering and is also a Sigma Green Belt and a Member of the Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply MCIPS. She is a registered Management Consultant with the Zimbabwe National Institute of Consulting (ZNIC). Ethel is also a Certified Life Coach in Executive Management and Personal Development with the Institute of Coaching and Mentoring Foundation (ICMF). More recently she has also taken up the role or Advisor to the technical team of Pezulu Sugarcane Development Trust and her area of focus is on Project Management and Supply Chain operations
